TouchArcade iOS Gaming Roundup: Pokemon Go Fest, Strike Team Hydra, The Elder Scrolls: Legends and More

Without question, the biggest thing that happened in iOS gaming this week was the disastrous Pokemon Go Fest that took place in Chicago last Saturday the 22nd. The event was hyped to unbelievable levels in the Pokemon Go community, particularly as exclusive in-game rewards for attending were teased. This led to people from quite literally all over the world flying into Chicago to participate in what was thought to be the premiere Pokemon Go event. Having been to large Pokemon Go meetups where cellular networks were crippled by the people in attendance, I was curious to see how Niantic was going to solve inevitable connectivity problems. read more

Microsoft And Sony Benefit From Reported Overheating Of The Nintendo Switch

Microsoft And Sony Benefit From Reported Overheating Of The Nintendo Switch

I am impressed that the Nintendo (OTCPK:NTDOY) Switch is selling well; 4.7 million cumulative sales since its debut. Console gaming is still a $33.5 billion/year industry. It is favorable to Microsoft and Sony if Nintendo’s new Switch gaming console doesn’t get too successful. Gaming hardware, software, and services is under the business segment that contributes the most to Sony’s top line. read more

The solution: more crossovers, and combining the ATS and CTS into just one vehicle.

After some initial confusion over whether the larger Cadillac CT6 had a future, Cadillac boss Johan De Nysschen came clean with Reuters and explained the replacement plan: a new car called the Cadillac CT5 will replace the ATS and CTS. read more

The new Rolls-Royce Phantom

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has taken the wraps off the much-anticipated new Phantom. This eight-generation motor car has been given a bespoke new architecture, seen a complete redesign replete with a personalized gallery and promises to be the most technologically advanced car in the British luxury maker’s portfolio.

There has been a great deal of hype leading up to this unveil, for the Phantom represents the very height of motoring luxury. Its custodian is aware of the pressures in presenting a product that performs this task for the modern patron. Yes, there are more expensive, flashier cars on the market, yet since its introduction by Sir Henry Royce in 1925, the Phantom has been the ultimate choice of transport for the world’s most influential, powerful and glamorous. read more
